Had just got married for the 2nd time and was looking forward to building a stable and successful future as team Oxsaw.

Unfortunately it turned out I was married to someone who thought it perfectly acceptable to sell off many of my previous achievements to fund her current lifestyle.

Ho hum.

I was eleven and spent the first two weeks of Mexico 86 in Majorca with my family and remember watching all the England world cup games with my dad. Great memories. Proper banter with Ze Germans and Spanish waiters.

Obviously, after getting home, that World Cup ended with the Hand of God and me any mates playing footy over the field trying to replicate it.

A very nostalgic summer for me.

Was 14 years old when the WC started. I was on holiday in Portugal. Fuck me, I couldn't think of a worse place to be to lose to Portugal in a WC game, Wilkins sent off, Robson's dodgy shoulder went again. I remember the scenes on the streets afterwards, it was like they had actually won the thing ! I remember Peter Reid just running alongside Maradona for almost the entire length of "That Goal" and thinking fucking hell Pete are you gonna put a challenge in or what ?

An idyllic warm summer in Stockholm watching the WC, playing football and swimming in the lakes.
In September Cottee made his debut for England losing 1-0 at the Rasunda Stadion
